Olli Olli World is pure nirvana skateboarding

While gladioli and Olliolli 2 shared a similar visual style, there was a mountain separating their gameplay. The suite offered a much tighter, more fluid and nuanced control diagram that added the possibility of chaining towers on integers. It was a fantastic suite at an already stellar game. And, now, Olli World broke all my preconceived ideas that Roll7 may no longer be able to perfect the formula. They did it. Skating is enhanced, the visuals have undergone a complete overhaul and the level of customization of the characters is a cherry on the cake.

Above all, falling in Olli World, veterans will instantly notice his new layer of pain in the shade of cells. The originals did not miss any substance, but their simpler visual style may not have worked as effectively the third time. The levels appear in a way that this series has never seen, helping the player to go through every centimeter of a scene.

Some new game mechanisms help you enter all corners and crannies of the impressive list of Olli World places. You are now able to make a number of seizures (and use quarterlies), but more importantly, there are ways of connection for a ton of levels. Just like the Tony Hawk games of the past, areas can open according to you fill in certain conditions or if you can simply gather the skills needed to reach a difficult point of access to reach. It drips style, and you are encouraged to see every moment.

Speaking of style, what would a skate game without a character creator? As much I liked the original games, the Olli franchise has always had a flagrant lack of personalization. So far, even a hat or pair of shoes were not adjustable. That's why it's so refreshing to see the large number of unlocks you can apply to your skater this time. Everything, headgear and clothing with new bridges and materials, is at your disposal, adding a customization layer essential to the series.

I could not be more excited for Olli World on February 8th. This improves the Foundation of Olliolli in every way imaginable, leaving me puzzled as to how they could surpass that with their next game. However, the plan could simply be to support Olli World for a long time, because there is obviously a much larger sense of community in this last iteration. Anyway, register me. Olli World looks like the first big game of 2022.
